Description
Rare an colourful come to mind when describing the Alenquer Pleco. These have been tank raised. Please ensure a cave and there must be real wood inside the aquarium as it forms part of their diet. They eat a wide variety of food including meaty and greens as well as biofilm. Alenquers are exceptionally hardy for a fancy Pleco providing their food requirements are met, Bloodworm, wood, zucchini and algae wafers. We recommend Sera Catfish food.
They are often Kept in Discus tanks as they benefit from meaty foods and high water temperature.
